Project Overview

Karak is a universal restaking layer that enables users to repurpose various staked assets (including ethereum, LSTs, stablecoins) to provide cryptoeconomic security across different networks. The platform operates as a marketplace where developers can incentivize validators to secure their Distributed Secure Services (DSS) without needing to issue highly inflationary tokens, making protocol security more accessible and affordable.

The protocol differentiates itself through multiasset restaking (allowing a basket of assets to secure services), cross-chain deployment capabilities (enabling native restaking infrastructure beyond Ethereum), and turnkey development tools. Its ecosystem consists of restakers, DSS providers, chains (including K2, a risk management L2), and operators who validate services. Users can participate through various methods including liquid staking/restaking and stablecoin deposits.
