Project Overview

Koii is a decentralized network that aims to create a "World Computer" by pooling together existing consumer hardware instead of relying on centralized data centers. It's designed to democratize digital infrastructure by enabling community-owned alternatives to social media, publishing, news, and AI systems, making it both more environmentally friendly and cost-effective than traditional centralized systems.

At its core, Koii uses a technology called "Gradual Consensus" and implements it through "Koii Tasks," which allow for building scalable and private systems across their community cloud. The network is designed to provide a more secure and affordable alternative to centralized services, while offering task operators the opportunity to earn rewards through their participation. This creates a system where personal computers can potentially generate income for their owners while contributing to a more equitable and open internet infrastructure.
